Our Graduate programme is a function specific development scheme you will be supported by an integral formal training programme to equip you with the necessary skills to develop your core technical and professional competencies. A structured support network provides you with a safe environment to learn and be challenged, while delivering and working on projects that actually add value to the business. This support includes one to one mentor support from our internal experts together with on the job training, and cross functional projects that ensure that you are continually broadening your knowledge and expertise. **_RESPONSIBILITIES:_** * Assists with the planning, design, purchase, and/or implementation of integrated manufacturing, assembly or fabrication processes in a manufacturing plant. * Helps determine the manufacturing processes required to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. * Works with engineering to identify problems with product and performance; may recommend solutions or enhancements. * Assists with plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production. * Work to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally. * Define manufacturing standard working methods. * Assist with any production line improvements necessary to increase production efficiencies or improve product quality. * Liaise with design engineering personnel to participate in product design reviews and assisting with design for manufacture methodology. * Liaise with quality engineering personnel to ensure manufacturing processes meet specific product quality needs. * Produce capital equipment and tooling specifications in line with latest equipment regulations. * Liaise with suppliers to purchase capital equipment and tooling. * Produce and modify documentation in line with APQP requirements. * Perform production line trials to measure, analyse and improve efficiency. * Provide support towards manufacturing related six sigma projects **_TRAINING PROVIDED:_** * A comprehensive induction programme as well as role specific training. * Individual training to suit particular business skills required by the business or identified by the candidate. ## Qualifications **_SKILLS REQUIRED:_** Education, Licenses, Certifications * College, university, or equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical or scientific field required. Experience * Relevant Work Experience is an advantage Skills * Project Management - Has a good understanding of and effectively applies project management techniques in low to moderately complex projects. * Problem Solving And Quality Improvement - Problem Solving and Improvement approaches, including understanding of tools/process type and selection, plus Corrective and Preventive Action processes. * A CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or have 2 years experience in this role. * Able to lead problem solving efforts. Including the use of a variety of problem solving tools such as 7 Step, FMEA and Kaizen. * Strong communication skills. * Strong planning and prioritising skills, with the ability to work to deadlines. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Experience in the use of a CAD package is an advantage. * Strong team working skills. Knowledge or experience of the following is an advantage : * Various hardware and software used in the control of manufacturing processes and equipment. Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. * Robot MIG welding.
