Purpose of the role — how it adds value:


To help develop and maintain third party commissioned content on Thomson Reuters Accelus Regulatory Intelligence platform for the financial services and HR sectors and to provide on-going author care.


Main responsibilities of the job:


- Liaising with internal editorial staff

- Monitoring and maintenance of content updates

- Ensuring that external contributors meet content submission deadlines

- Managing author contracts

- Providing regular statistical reports on popularity of content

- Use of internal content management system

- Ensuring timely upload of new content into Thomson Reuters’ internal upload tool

- Producing reports to team, as and when required

- Conducting research into subject areas, as directed by the editorial team

- Reviewing material submitted for content, accuracy and relevance

- Providing feedback to authors, where needed

- Providing administrative support to the editorial team

- Other activities and projects, as required by the team

Qualifications:

Critical Competencies: skills and abilities required for the role:

- Must have a good eye for detail and work to a high level of accuracy.

- Must have a proven track record of managing multiple projects and being able to deliver against deadlines.

- A professional manner when dealing with colleagues and external contacts is essential.

- Highly organised and disciplined and able to act on own initiative.

- The ability to research topic areas thoroughly and identify relevant issues would be very attractive.


Experience: relevant experience for the role:

- Editorial experience from financial services publications and some knowledge of financial services regulation would be preferred.

- Experience of building good relationships and maintaining a professional level of communication with external and internal contacts.

- Experience of ensuring that designated projects are completed within budget and agreed deadlines.

- Building good interpersonal relationships to aid development of products and projects.

- Experience of online content management systems is preferred.


Technical Knowledge:

- Use of internal tools (eg, Content Management System, Statistics tool) will be required in this role.

- Some use of HTML coding will be useful.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
