Qualifications This Physician role collaborates with other key medical staff to ensure that proper medical patient care is delivered in the hospital and office settings. This position performs its duties and responsibilities in accordance with the St. Vincent mission and core values; provides medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team addressing the physical, mental and spiritual needs of patients as outlined in the organizational bylaws. Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Achieves timely and accurate completion of required documentation pertaining to patient records and billing. Educates and communicates with patients, their families/caregivers and staff to coordinate care. Identifies and provides services pertaining to the various medical services provided by the hospital and practice which may include; risk management, workers compensation, and employee health as requested. Develops collaborative relationships across the continuum of care. Provides support to all activities associated with meeting regulatory, quality and safety standards. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Prepared to be available at all hours based on patient/staffing need. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions within the confines of the medical staff code of conduct. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Models a 100% compliance for hand hygiene protocols and prevention of sharps injuries. Requires good sensory perceptions as related to evaluating and communicating with patients. Ability to physically examine patients and move freely between examination rooms.
