Req# 149605BR Position Title Business Intelligence Analyst II Position Summary Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Analyzes and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. Evaluates budget performance, expenditures, and operational effectiveness. May perform economic research on a project basis. Brings inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management. .Perform detailed cost studies and analysis for wireless industry competitors that will produce recommendations for the effective management and improvement of Sprint’s wireless margins and its financial position (short-term and long-term financial plans, support future strategic initiatives). * Develop and maintain quantitative and analytical tools/models for the industry and individual companies to gain/enhance understanding of competitive landscape in terms of expense, revenue and subscriber and other drivers/metrics and identify areas of opportunities for Sprint * Play a role in development of Senior Executive Quarterly Industry Competitive Performance Reporting * Stay abreast of the industry developments; changes in market fundamentals that impact competitors and Sprint * Work on miscellaneous market and security valuation projects * Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with other departments within the Company to understand the business and ensure timely exchange of information. * Able to work independently and multitask several projects in a fast-paced environment * Provide support to CI/IR team on other duties as assigned. * Critical and conceptual thinker and a quick learner with the ability to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and usable ideas * Ability to maintain accurate, reliable, and traceable records/models for financial/subscriber reporting * Ability to develop analysis in following/tracking telecommunication companies and assessing their strengths and weaknesses * Ability to work with tight deadlines and under high-pressure situations Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school * One year finance work experience Preferred Qualifications * Three Years of Financial Modeling/Excel Experience with a strong finance skillset (Balance Sheet/Income Statement/Statement of Cash Flows) * Three Years of Experience in business analytics * Must be an expert user of MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint * MBA in Finance and Investments At Sprint, we're more than just talk.
