This position is for a Business Intelligence Administrator with a wireless service provider located in Ridgeland, MS. Job Summary: Work in the IT Infrastructure department to develop cutting edge data warehouse business intelligence solutions; Perform data warehouse design and development functions to include requirements gathering, data modeling and data mart design, implementation and documentation; Attend project meetings to gather data mining and reporting requirements, translate those requirements into specifications for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) coding; Develop ETL code using approved software tools such as SAP Business Objects Data Services; Use SQL skills to write and assist others with data warehouse queries and data extracts; Required to provide upper-tier functions including troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrading and systems management in production and test environments.Please note - This posting is for 4 different positions, depending on experience.Education / Experience Required:Business Intelligence Administrator I: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with business intelligence applications; Entry level position, however experience in Information Technology including business intelligence administration experience preferred; Structured Query Language (SQL) experience required; Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems helpful; Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.Business Intelligence Administrator II: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with business intelligence applications; Experience in Information Technology including business intelligence administration experience expected; Structured Query Language (SQL) experience required, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL preferred; Experience using business intelligence software for data mining and ETL strongly desired, with experience using Business Objects software preferred; Experience providing data support for predictive analytics projects a very strong plus; Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems expected; Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.Business Intelligence Administrator III: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with business intelligence applications; Experience in Information Technology including business intelligence administration experience required; Structured Query Language (SQL) required, Oracle SQL, Netezza SQL and PL/SQL expected; Experience using business intelligence software for data mining and ETL required, with experience using Business Objects software preferred; Experience providing data support for predictive analytics projects expected; Experience with data warehouse/decision support modeling expected; Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems required; Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.Senior Business Intelligence Administrator: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience with business intelligence applications; Minimum five years experience in Information Technology including business intelligence administration experience required; Multiple years of experience as a technical lead in business intelligence expected; Technical lead experience should also include supervising and mentoring junior staff and functioning as an interface with other IT and business units; Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle SQL, Netezza SQL and PL/SQL required; Experience using business intelligence software for data mining and ETL required, with experience using Business Objects software expected; Experience providing data support for predictive analytics projects required; Experience with data warehouse/decision support modeling required; Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen; Must be willing to work flexible schedule, which will include nights and weekends.
