This position is for a Network Provisioner with a wireless service provider located in Jackson, MS. Job Summary: Responsible for ordering required connectivity to other vendors; Responsible for placing orders with the LEC or LD vendor and closely monitoring the status of the order to completion date; Responsible for completing end to end testing of any facility and bringing into service; Troubleshoot any troubles related to facilities; Must be familiar with T1, DS3, OC3, Ethernet and other similar technologies as required for connectivity; Monitor facility capacities daily ensuring that all switching entities are operating as efficiently as possible; acting proactively in proper grooming of our network; Perform additional duties as assigned. Education / Experience: Two years' work experience in telecommunications or Two-year college degree in telecommunications or technology related fields required; TDM and Ethernet knowledge required; Prior network provisioning experience preferred; Must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time; Requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Requires being proficient in the use of a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite of products. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions: Must be willing to work shifts which include evenings, nights, weekends, and possible holidays; Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.
