(USA-MS-Meridian) Inspector Packer
This Position is for an Inspector Packer with a national food container manufacturing company located in Quitman, MS. Responsibilities will include: Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required; Comply with Companys policies and procedures; Inspecting and packaging foam product into different sized containers and placing them into the staging area; Inspecting and packaging plain and printed product; Assembling cardboard boxes and placing box onto caser in preparation to be filled automatically from a bagging machine; Responsible for manual lines and hand packaging; Inspecting product for defects and production line for malfunctions; Observe product, remove defective product and report malfunctions to maintenance; Closing filled boxes and transporting filled boxes to staging areas; Changing the date, shift code, and employee initials and ensuring legibility of each; When working in the Print Department, must be able to count, add and subtract; May have to manually feed cups into printer and will inspect printing/confirmation and log and report malfunctions as found; Responsible for cleanliness and safe work practices; Follow all other oral and written directions of supervisor. Requirements include: Previous manufacturing (production) experience is preferred; Six (6) months work experience required; Must have manual dexterity; Communicate and get along well with others; Must be able to distinguish colors; Possess reading comprehension and writing ability to perform duties at a level necessary for successful job performance; Must be willing and able to work all shifts; Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
