(USA-NC) IT Solutions Sales Associate

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** The position actively participates in pre–sales activities and oversees the solution design, solution costing, and delivers the solution to the Transition and Delivery teams for successful transition of the engagement to a steady–state delivery model. SMS's IT Solutions Sales Associate is responsible leading the development of integrated technical solutions and proposal of SMS's Services to assigned accounts or new business pursuit opportunities. Develops contacts with existing customers. Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of SMS's products and services to meet such requirements. Participates in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans. * Lead the Solution Design process by analyzing RFI/RFP requirements and client needs to articulate solution strategy to technical architects. * Maintains technical proficiency and consults with prospective customers regarding SMS. * Keeps informed of new services and technology and other information of interest to customers. * Investigates new services or improvements to services. * Lead team members for the purposes of creating required solution and deliverables. Deliverables may include business case, proposal, presentation, SOW, or implementation plan. * Participate in internal and external executive briefings when required. * Conducts sales presentations on SMS service catalogue, and developed solutions. * Create and present proposed solution review documents, to include financial analysis, to SMS Executive Review Committee. * Provide post-sales support as required: * Create or assist with the development of Statements of Work * Assist with the development of Transition plans * Support Transition resources with technical, operational and/or financial support * Provide solution modification, if required, during Transition planning or implementation **Other Duties** * Develops, updates and maintains Solution Services templates, process and procedures. * Contributes input to SMS' global services catalog. * Actively participates in client review meetings and internal meetings. **Minimum Qualifications** **Experience & Required Skills and Requirements:** * Requires a Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of sales experience in a technical sales environment selling directly to customers, or equivalent combination of experience and education. * Must be able to prepare and deliver proposals to assist in business development. * Requires the knowledge and the skills to determine appropriate pricing strategies for accounts and to develop project cost estimates based upon initial parameters. * Has broad knowledge of company products, services, business functions, policies, and procedures. Ability to solution multiple lines of business. * Possesses excellent communication and customer service skills in order to develop and maintain positive customer relations. * Self-managed and ability to work in and successfully manage virtual teams. * Understanding of costing/financial models and cost drivers for insourcing and outsourcing engagements. * Knowledge of solution integration and "puts & takes" impact on a deal. * Experience/exposure to multiple IT disciplines. * Ability to work multiple pursuits simultaneously. * Willingness to work outside of standard work hours as needed. * Travel as required (˜25%).
