(USA-SD-SIOUX FALLS) Lead Systems Analyst
The Lead Systems Analyst role is to define, develop, and implement systems and programs at all levels of complexity. This position provides the highest level of customer service to users and serves as an internal consultant to the IT staff and the user community. Provides consultation to departmental managers on procedures and the technical environment to produce efficiencies and productivity gains. 1.Collaborate with developers and users in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications. 2.Research, document, and implement program requirements and specifications. 3.Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications. 4.Oversee the quality assurance of program logic, data processing, and error resolution. 5.Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging. 6.Administer diagnostic analysis of test results and deliver solutions to critical areas. 7.Develop an awareness of programming and design alternatives. 8.Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices. 9.Utilize established status report, time accounting and collaborative process to provide data for management and assist in analyzing results. 10.Determine, develop, and maintain user manuals and guidelines. 11.Assist in the installation of software to the production environment. 12.Liaise with company s software and hardware suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies. 13.Liaise with network administrators, developers, and other software engineers to resolve any defects in products or company systems. 14.Take an active role in cross departmental projects when needed. 15.Write and or delete programming script to enhance functionality of company applications as necessary. 16.Direct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. 17.Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior software development staff. 18.Must be on call during scheduled times and may be required to work for extended periods at night and on weekends in support of conversion, assisting in operational problems, or testing a new program. Qualifications: Java, Hibernate, Javascript, Spring Framework, and Object Oriented Analysis and design. BPM experience a plus. 4 year degree in the field of Computer Science plus a minimum of 8 years IT development experience or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with business partners and other IT staff Advanced Problem solving skills sufficient to research, propose alternatives, recommend, and analyze solutions to problems Able to work on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines Knowledge of computer programming languages as required for the system
