(USA-TX-San Antonio) Payroll and Master Data Process Team Lead
The Workforce Admin Process Team Lead manages the activities of 2 distinct teams and one individual contributor: A Payroll team responsible for the preparation, processing and submission of regional payroll to a third party vendor, a Master Data/Org Management team responsible for interface flow and organizational structure, and a Reporting Specialist. This position is accountable for meeting the Service Level Agreements for timely and accurate payroll and tax reporting, organizational structure maintenance and efficient reporting. In this role, he/she works closely with other departments in the BD Associate Service Center (ASC) and Global Solution Center (GSC), to build, maintain and provide outstanding customer service and accurate employee master data and payroll results. He/she works with internal project teams to implement complex project deliverables, enhance workflow and build repeatable and standardized processes. *Responsibilities*: * Manages 9 associates with the following responsibilities: * A payroll team led by a Payroll Team Leader that is responsible for carrying out a complex bi-weekly payroll preparation and processing, tax reporting and reconciliation, and vendor management. * A Master Data/Organizational Management team responsible for interface flow, master data escalations and maintenance of the organizational structure in the master data system * A Reporting and Analytics Specialist * Provides expert oversight of payroll process and methodology to ensure compliance of company, local, state and federal requirements. * Manages payroll vendor performance and oversees and approves all system configuration changes. * Coordinates with the Master Data team and the Total Rewards team to address complex master data and benefits issues that may impact payroll processing. Works in close partnership with the Accounting/General Ledger team and the Compliance department. * Leads team in effective project management deliverables. Creates structure and process to address system upgrades and new configuration requirements. * Works across functions (IT, Accounting, Total Rewards) to build define and test new system configuration requirements. * Works across Associate Service Center teams to ensure proper internal controls exist, are followed and regularly tested. * Provides clear feedback and suggestions on system issues, processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and continuous improvement. * Develops and provides analytical reports for supporting and guiding business decisions. *Special Skills*: * Understanding of US Payroll end to end process. * Mastery skills in delivery excellence (customer service focus) and continuous improvement (ability to assess and diagnose problems and to propose solutions that are simple and effective) * Proficiency in multi-state payroll and tax regulations. * Demonstrated ability in tax reconciliation and stock tax administration. * Demonstrated and proficient skills in project management and vendor management. * Mastery skills in personal effectiveness (Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills) and being accountable. * Proven leadership skills in supporting a diverse workforce and work environment. * Detail-orientated and accurate. * Strong leadership experience. *Requirements*: * Bachelor's degree. * Minimum 5 years multi-state payroll experience within an enterprise payroll system. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use and create templates, complex tables, merges, import and insert graphs, and manage table data. * Minimum 3 years management experience. *Preferences*: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. * Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC). * Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). * Enterprise HRIS (preferably SAP)) with interface to external payroll vendor. *Job:* Human Resources *Primary Location:* US-Texas-San Antonio *Shift:* First Shift / Day Job *Req ID:* HUM10028
