(USA-UT-PAYSON) Driver-Transportation Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY: The Driver Coordinator supervises the dispatch, maintenance, training, budget and all other facets of handicap vans and the respective drivers and dispatch staff that provide service to Central Utah Veteran's Home. The Driver Coordinator will supervise all facets of this operation and ensure that the service to the facility and the community is done in an efficient, effective and courteous manner. This position is responsible for assisting and safely transporting participants to and from the facility and their residence. Minimum Qualifications:Experience High school diploma or equivalent and a state commercial driver s license (CDL) and a no point” driving record verified by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Prior experience in transportation of the elderly and or physically-mentally challenged persons preferredPre-employment health evaluation by a licensed physician certifying good health and absence of infectious disease and freedom from communicable disease, including tuberculosis in the communicable form, according to acceptable screening methods of the Department of Health.Must be between 23 and 70 years old. Previous transportation management experience preferred, specifically in the health care field.Skills: Superior Management Leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of and experience with Vehicle Maintenance. Experienced in health care facility relations and management of drivers. Be able to demonstrate an exceptional safety record. Knowledge of and compliance with requirements and regulations related to skilled nursing patient transportation and safety. Ability to manage cost and improve operational efficiency. Very Detail Oriented Operations Management Experience Organized and ability to effectively multi-task Excellent Written and Verbal Communications skills Sense of Urgency and Drive to SucceedEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage vans. Ensure all preventative maintenance is complete and that vehicles are safe and in good repair. Utilize web based maintenance program to track mileage and ensure maintenance of the facility vehicles is completed. Manage drivers for the facility as well as the dispatch personnel.Salary Range $13-$15 per hour DOEHigh School-GED
