Kelly Services is hiring Material Handlers for a temporary opportunity at a local company in Fredricksburg, VA.We will be having a job fair on, Friday, February 28, 2014 from10 AM - 1 PM. The interview location will be at the Virginia Workforce Center, 10304 Spotsylvania Avenue, Suite 100, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. Please bring two forms of ID, we will be hiring.We are offering a 7:30 AM to 4 PM shift.DESCRIPTION:Moves material by hand from machinery or loads to machinery. Moves material or finished product from machines to pallets or from pallets to machines. Be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds.Responsibilities:1. Reads work order to determine which materials are to be moved2. Loads and unloads materials from pallets by hand3. Moves materials from storage or work sites to designated areas4. Attaches identification tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers5. May load trucks6. Stacks materials into bundles and bands bundles together7. May operate ihand truck and pallet jacks. to transport material.9. May perform very basic clerical functions including to use computer system to track orders (handheld scanner).11. Adheres to and promotes all safety policies12. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbsThe ability to work in a team environment is required.1. High School graduate or equivalent desirable.2. Ability to get along with people.3. Manual dexterity.4. Pass a background and drug screen5. Steel toe shoes required
