Manpower is looking to fill an entry level buying position to support site specific purchasing requirements.Company: Saint-Gobain (SGPPL) is a Global Corporation engaged in the design, development and manufacture of highly engineered products madeprimarily of high performance polymer materials. The Company serves customers in the aerospace, medical, high technology andindustrial business sectors.Position functionally reports to the Materials Manager.Education: Bachelor's degree.Certifications: C.P.M. preferredPersonal Characteristics: Must have good negotiation and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to participate in or lead thedecision making process.Work Experience: Minimum five years experience in Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline without a Bachelor's degree.Principal Area of Responsibility: Plant specificSpecific Duties: Meet or exceed established Purchasing goals/objectives including: - Cost - Productivity - Quality - Inventory - Lead site specific supplier negotiations - Measure, analyze, improve, and control supplier performance - Support Global Purchasing initiatives - Create and issue purchase orders - Expedite the delivery of required materials - Meet or exceed internal SGPPL customer expectations
