Job Location Los Angeles, CA Job Description Loan Manager’s primary responsibilities include: loan servicing, on-going surveillance of current assets, risk rating of current loans, property inspections, loan closings, and loan document negotiation. Support the production staff with underwriting and the due diligence process, ensure accuracy and timeliness of all loan data, data flows and reporting, gatekeeper for ad-hoc requests. Work closely with the Law Department, third party servicers and the mortgage and equity teams. Principal Responsibilities: * Loan asset management and servicing matters including loan payoffs and prepayments, tenant estoppels, transfers, lease abstracts and reviews, SNDA’s, reserves and escrows, substitutions, tracking financial information and other borrower requests. * Prepare/manage/assist with mortgage ratings including financial analysis, underwriting, and valuation of the underlying commercial real estate. * Support mortgage originators on new and refinance transactions and assist with documentation and closing of loans and post-closing items. * Coordinate and assist with mortgage modifications, extensions, foreclosures, loan transfers and restructures. * Team effectively with mortgage originators, third-party servicers, other loan managers and legal counsel to resolve loan management issues including risk management, insurance matters and cross portfolio loans. * Formulate and execute strategies for potential problem loans, note sale programs and workouts. * Coordinate and assist with mortgage compliance initiatives. * Coordinate and manage cash managed loans via monthly waterfall, construction loan draw requests, earn-outs and capital requests. * Coordinate/conduct property inspections, as needed. * Track required reporting (e.g. income projections, general authorizations). * Coordinate due diligence and data collection efforts. * Research markets, industry, and financial data in support of loan transactions and risk analysis. * Handle special projects related to commercial real estate investment activities. Dimensions: * Participate in origination and management of investments for both general account and third party clients. Job Requirements Required: * BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Technical, Communications, as well as any related field of expertise. * 3 years of loan management experience --documents including leases, SNDA’s, notes, mortgages and loan agreements. * 7 years of commercial real estate experience. Preferred: * MBA. * Highly efficient in valuation modeling (Argus), Excel, and loan management systems * Strong legal skill set. * Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. * Understands federal regulatory law and familiar with clearing OFAC issues.
