External Description: Desired Skills: 1. Graduate degree in business, accounting or statistics 2. Ten or more years of senior analytical experience in implementing economic capital methodologies, risk performance measurements and cost accounting methods at large financial institutions Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent education and related training 2. Eight years of senior analytical experience with a large financial institution with the majority being in the area of economic capital and risk adjusted performance measurements such as RAROC and SVA 3. Comprehensive knowledge of economic capital, funds transfer pricing, internal cost allocations and profitability measurement in the banking industry 4. Broad understanding of bank operations, accounting and reporting systems 5. Working knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook 6. Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to prepare and present concise and persuasive reports and presentations 7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus and working alliances 8. Ability to focus on the big picture while being attentive to details 9. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight Responsibilities: 1. Provide general guidance and /or serve as a team leader in conducting various projects related to the development and implementation of economic capital, funds transfer pricing and internal cost allocations. 2. Coordinate necessary communications with business units for assigned projects. 3. Prepare supporting schedules and related economic capital and profitability and performance measurement presentation material. 4. Assist in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide economic capital methodologies for credit, market and operational risks. 5. Conduct cost studies and develop internal cost allocation methodologies throughout the Corporation. Responsible for maintaining business unit and support unit definitions and developing related unit costs throughout the organization. 6. Serve as the Corporation?s primary point of contact for internal cost allocations. Responsible for all related documentation and follow-up with business and support units. 7. Provide support for the development and implementation of key performance measurements and balanced scorecards. 8. Provide support for the integration of economic capital, funds transfer pricing and cost information in internal financial reporting and loan pricing models. 9. Provide support for the Corporation?s economic profit measurement initiative. 10. Undertake special projects related to profitability and performance measurement.
