Req ID 279441BR Industry Job Title Network Engineer RCDD Job Code/Title E1154:Network Engineer Stf Job Description The U.S. Army Information Technology Agency, Enterprise Transport Management (ITA-ETM) contract is a joint mission providing 24x7x365 network operations, management and engineering services to all branches of military across 300+ sites and 8,500+ network devices; supporting DISA Global Information Grid (GIG) connectivity to 60,000+ users at all classification levels. With customers predominantly located at the Pentagon, other sites within the National Capital Region (NCR) and remote areas, ITA-ETM leadership has assembled a diverse team, inclusive of approximately 450 resources (combination of Lockheed Martin and subcontractors personnel) with proven experience, processes and best practices to meet mission requirements. This Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based structure operates as an integrated team in a “badgeless environment to provide the most cost-effective approach for the customer. Within the ITIL structure, this position will be responsible for the design of IT communication infrastructure needed to support the implementation of new or changed services and as such requires a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). The RCDD will work collaboratively within a project team dedicated to providing agile and efficient support to ITA customers. The RCDD must exhibit strong technical, communication, documentation and analytical skills to successfully perform the following core tasks: Assist with the development of the Technical Analysis and Cost Estimate (TACE) for projects Develop Cable Installation Plan (CIP) IAW ITA and other applicable standards Generate purchase request(s) for all passive components needed for project Track material orders to ensure that all needed items are available at the beginning of the project Provide engineering and quality guidance to project managers and installation engineers Conduct checks during the execution of the project to ensure the installation adheres to standards and meets the needs of the customer Assist the PM and other sections during the execution of the project Deliver exceptional customer service Basic Qualifications DoD active final Top Secret clearance; BICSI RCDD Certification. Ability to effectively communicate work efforts required for cabling installations to government COTR and assigned personnel. Department of Defense Directive 8570 (DoDD 8570) Baseline Certification – IAT Level I minimum and experience with Remedy Desired skills Ability to work, and complete all taskings, with minimal supervision. Ability to work under aggressive schedule. ITIL V3 experience and or certification; Actual hands-on experience is the best recommendation. The successful applicant will demonstrate initiative, critical thinking skills, and the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision. He/she will be capable of functioning and decision-making in an environment that is often highly stressful. The successful applicant will also be capable of eventually obtaining a Top Secret -SCI clearance. MINIMUM Security clearance required is TOP SECRET.
