The main focus shall be on our customers, delivering services within the given framework, with continuous focus on customer satisfaction, having a solution oriented mindset and being recognized as a valued service provider.
You will be responsible for the delivery of consistent accounting processes and practices such that all financial submissions, across all business areas, are both accurate, timely, and in compliance with Group policies and procedures.
In addition you must ensure that all local financial statutory compliance (audit, financial statements and tax) is adhered to in the Region ahead of statutory and in line with internal deadlines.
You will partner with the BAs’ Finance Managers to ensure all financial analysis and business partnering is built off a foundation of strong financial control.
Main tasks
-Control the internal financial compliance agenda within the business areas in the territory, working closely with the BA Regional teams to ensure that Group accounting policies, procedures, and timelines are adhered to
-Ensure financial stewardship and compliance in accordance with DNV GL Chart of Authority and local statutory regulation
-Oversee, monitor and track legal entity statutory financial reporting such that all filings in the Region are filed ahead of local statutory deadlines
-Partner with Group tax to ensure all tax risks in the Region are reported to the central team and all local filing requirements are adhered to
-Partnering with the BAs Regional and/or Divisional Finance Managers you will play a key role in taking ownership for the follow-up actions that come out of Audit reports / findings
-Implement a series of key financial controls in the Region such that the correctness of all financial information is self-regulated
-Participate in all major Regional change initiatives within Finance, including but not limited to: roll out and implementation of the new finance system, Group finance compliance project, strategic evolution towards Regional shared service centres, and integrating potential future acquisitions
-Training and development of Regional Shared Service staff to meet capability requirements
-Workplace management to create a motivating work environment with focus on quality and continuous improvement
