DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated professional as the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Cost and Pricing Leader in the Commercial Engines Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Aftermarket organization supporting the MRO Cost Management team. In this role, you will own the process, managing deliverables and execute to deliver Shop Visit (SV) pricing for long term maintenance contract financial reviews, working with cross-functional teams and vendor analysts generating contract SV pricing. You will engage with key stakeholders that include Maintenance Cost Group, Fleet Management, Operational Analytics, Powerplant Engineering, Finance, Forecasting Center of Excellence, MRO shops, partner companies, Raytheon Technologies component suppliers and more.

The role can be remote or hybrid. As a hybrid role the office location is Pratt & Whitney East Hartford site.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Responsible for delivering post-sales shop visit pricing for each aftermarket contract, reporting out on status, and ensuring gate completion meets scheduled due dates
  • Responsible for resolving contract shop visit pricing questions and issues
  • Coordinate setting team meeting agendas, leading team meetings, driving on time delivery and action item closures
  • Coordinate with Powerplant Engineering team to document technical issue pricing adders for use in shop visit pricing. Adders may include block changes, targeted engineering changes, and service bulletins.
  • Characterize shop visits to allow greater understanding of shop visit type and achieved interval
  • Using the above, compile, summarize and communicate additional details for financial / accrual reports, supporting awareness relative to shop visit cost and material spend
  • Routinely report and support discussions with the GTF Network/Aftermarket Operations team on financial performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Engage with functional departments such as Program Aftermarket Integrated Product Team (PAIPT)/Program Management Office (PMO), Global Supply Chain, MRO shops, Repair Management Committee (RMC), and Integrated Material Solutions (IMS) ensuring alignment on MRO SV Cost strategies, deliverables, used part strategy, and contract optimization
  • Coach, review and delegate cost and pricing tasks to vendor analysts
  • Process Owner for GTF post-sales shop visit pricing process (Gate 3B) and maintain standard work
  • Advance maturity of processes using Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) operating system
  • Participate in development of SV Cost analytic tools, pricing tools, and support digital MRO initiatives
  • Ensure best practices and aligned processes are developed and implemented through engagement with Mature Commercial Engines and Military Engines teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree and 7+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to effectively explain pricing questions from executives.
  • Effectively handle tasks simultaneously, motivate others to share goals and visions and be able to effectively communicate globally across all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
  • Work experience inclusive of gas turbine hardware or aircraft systems
  • Must be a U.S person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder, as this position will require the ability to access U.S. only data systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree concentration in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Business, or a related financial discipline
  • Technical and Financial/Business acumen with demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, external stakeholders, and management
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
  • Familiarity with the MRO business financial performance on cost versus price basis
  • Focus on results with the ability to drive projects to successful completion
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, taking complex business inputs and developing a simple and easily explainable output
  • Self-motivated to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements to a variety of complex problems
  • Deep knowledge of project management
  • Advanced knowledge of related disciplines and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.

This role is Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Although this role is designated as Remote, we will also consider candidates near our East Hartford, CT location who are interested in working a Hybrid work arrangement.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
