We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee our engineering projects in Basra, Iraq. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing multiple industrial and infrastructure engineering projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. This position requires a strong technical background, particularly in civil, mechanical, and electrical and instrumentation (E&I) engineering, along with extensive experience in document control and project coordination. You will be responsible for reviewing client comments, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring that all project documentation meets industry standards and client expectations. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate multiple industrial and infrastructure engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project goals.
- Review and analyze client comments on engineering documents, ensuring all feedback is addressed and integrated into project plans.
- Oversee the preparation and organization of engineering drawings and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, mechanical, and E&I engineers, to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
- Implement and maintain document control processes to ensure accurate tracking and management of project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients and internal teams to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in engineering practices to ensure the team utilizes the latest technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all engineering projects.
Preferred Candidate:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar engineering management or coordination role, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical expertise in civil, mechanical, and E&I engineering, with a solid understanding of relevant design principles and practices.
- Proven experience in document control and project coordination, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering design software is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think critically under pressure.
