<b>Job Title:</b> Cost Accountant<b>Industry:</b> Oil & Gas / Contracting<b>Company:</b> Alarji Contracting Company<b>Job Description</b>We are seeking an experienced <b>Cost Accountant</b> to join our Oil & Gas contracting operations. The role will be responsible for cost control, budgeting, project cost analysis, and financial reporting to support effective project execution and management decision-making.<b>Key Responsibilities</b>Monitor and control <b>project costs</b> for Oil & Gas and contracting projectsPrepare <b>cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts</b> for ongoing and new projectsAnalyse <b>material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs</b>Track <b>project profitability</b>, cost variances, and margin analysisPrepare <b>monthly cost reports</b> and MIS for management reviewCoordinate with <b>Project Managers, Procurement, and Site Teams</b>Ensure proper allocation of costs to projects and cost centresSupport <b>invoice verification</b>, variation orders, and claimsAssist in <b>audits</b> and ensure compliance with company and client requirements<b>Qualifications & Experience</b>Bachelor's degree in <b>Accounting, Finance, or Commerce</b>Professional qualification such as <b>CMA / CIMA / ICMA / ACMA</b> preferredMinimum 4-5<b> years of experience</b> in Cost Accounting within <b>Oil & Gas or contracting industry</b>Strong knowledge of <b>project costing, budgeting, and variance analysis</b>Proficiency in <b>Excel</b> and accounting/ERP systemsFamiliarity with <b>ARAMCO or major Oil & Gas client projects</b> is an advantage<b>Skills & Competencies</b>Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesGood communication and coordination skillsStrong understanding of <b>contracting and project-based costing</b><b>Location</b>Saudi Arabia
