Mohammed Khalaf Company, a leading food services company operating a chain of franchise restaurants and cafés, is seeking to hire a qualified Quality Control Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure full compliance with regulations from the Labor Office, including employee documentation, working hours, and legal requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with Balady regulations and all municipal health and safety standards within the restaurant.
• Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards (cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas, equipment, and staff hygiene).
• Conduct routine and surprise inspections to evaluate operational quality, food safety, and service standards.
• Oversee food handling processes including receiving, storage, preparation, and serving to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
• Ensure proper temperature control, expiration date monitoring, and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Identify violations or risks and take immediate corrective actions, with proper documentation and follow-up.
• Develop and update SOPs related to quality, hygiene, and food safety.
• Train and guide staff on hygiene practices, food safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Ensure consistency in food presentation, portioning, and service quality according to brand standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to improve overall operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Handle inspections from government authorities and ensure readiness at all times.
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, audit findings, and improvement plans.
Education: Bachelor‘s Degree in food safety or food science or any related field
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of Labor Office regulations.
• Familiarity with Balady system and municipal compliance requirements.
• Deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Valid driving license.
• Knowledge of food presentation standards and restaurant service quality.
• Strong attention to detail, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
