About the Role:
The Vehicle Clearance Officer (GRO) based in Al Ahsa is responsible for managing and coordinating the import and export clearance of vehicles in compliance with local customs and regulatory requirements. This role involves liaising with government authorities, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure timely clearance, accurate documentation, and resolution of any issues that may arise during the process.
Responsibilities:
- Act as primary liaison with customs, traffic police, and other government agencies for vehicle clearance
- Prepare, review, and submit all required import/export documentation and permits
- Coordinate with logistics, operations, and legal teams to track clearance status and meet deadlines
- Manage relationships with shipping agents, dealerships, and freight forwarders
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement process adjustments to maintain compliance
- Investigate and resolve clearance delays, discrepancies, or disputes
- Maintain accurate records and generate regular clearance reports for management
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in vehicle clearance, import/export operations, or a related field
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and verbal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities
- Knowledge of Saudi customs regulations, traffic rules, and clearance procedures
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- Previous experience working in the Al Ahsa region
- Familiarity with customs clearance software or electronic documentation systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Certification in logistics, customs brokerage, or supply chain management
