Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
A reputable Construction Company is looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for developing and managing project schedules and planning activities across large-scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring all activities are accurately represented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop baseline, procurement, design, and construction programmes in coordination with the project management team.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule and report variances in a clear and timely manner.
- Identify delays, critical activities, and potential project risks, and communicate findings to the project team.
- Prepare recovery plans and revised schedules when required, working closely with project managers and site teams.
- Coordinate schedule updates with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure all inputs are captured accurately.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for submission to senior management and clients.
- Produce progress curves, dashboards, manpower reports, and look-ahead schedules to support project monitoring and decision-making.
- Review subcontractors' programmes and monitor their performance against agreed milestones and timelines.
- Support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis in coordination with the contracts and commercial team.
