We employ over 2,000 people and last year's turnover was over £200 million.


Role


To sell PPG products to new and existing customers in line with Company standards and to achieve monthly and annual sales and margin budgets.

Key Responsibilities


· Have a thorough understanding of the sector and Company strategy and ensure this is communicated to customers.


· Demonstrate a thorough understanding of selling processes as instructed by the Regional Sales Manager and use in all selling situations.


· Sell Company products and promotions to new and existing customers with adherence to pricing architecture, and responsible for the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.


· Maximisesales across all product ranges, maintaining product knowledge standards and awareness of the market place


· Knowledge and information sharing with the Specification Development Managers


· Maintain regular customer contact and to resolve complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.


· Ensure that customer accounts are settled on a timely basis and keeping customers within their credit limit to maintain business liquidity.


· Investigate competitor activity and report back details on a regular basis


· Complete and submit reports and administrative tasks within timescales and to required standard


· Conform to Company standard of performance in all areas where service standards exist (ie number of calls made, order to call ratio’s etc)


· Contribute towards the Regional Quarterly Business Plans and attend Regional and National sales meetings.


· To present a professional image to customers and demonstrate a high degree of loyalty and integrity to contribute to the professional image of the business

Knowledge & Skills

· Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent


· Full Driving License


· Selling skills, product and competitor knowledge


· Administrative, presentation andorganisationalskills


· Good communication skills


· IT Skills


· Good geographical knowledge


· Use your own initiative, but have the ability to work as part of a team


Experience


· 3 -5 years sales experience
