The Cash, Collateral and Liquidity (CCL) function is a business-aligned team bringing together a number of critical functions supporting the banks business across the whole group. The primary functions of this group are to provide Pre-Trade Support, Funding, Intraday Liquidity Management, Tri-party financing, Network and Vendor Management, Cost of Income Management, Analytics and Optimisation, Reporting, Change Management and Risk and Control.


These functions play a critical role in helping the bank manage its funding and liquidity needs, supporting the collateral optimisation business and managing the firms core cash management, network, agent and clearing / exchange relationships. The department has a number of key strategic objectives to drive the function forward and improve our capability, including increasing the focus on pro-active value-added services, driving real bottom-line P/L benefits through cost of income, expense management and funding processes, and driving the strategic investment agenda to ensure we build a first-class operating platform to support our future needs.


Main Function

As part of this organisation, CCL Business Transaction Services (BTS) provides transactional support to the Treasury Function and maintains oversight and control of operational processes which support the business.


The Group Treasury Post Trade Processing team currently forms part of CCL BTS. The team is responsible for the daily processing of interest rate swaps, basis swaps, fx and money market instruments executed on the Charms trading platform. The small team covers a broad product range and activities across all major asset classes.


The successfully candidate will be responsible for agreeing and processing daily settlements, managing the daily confirmations process, issue resolution, and engagement with project activities related to above responsibilities.


Main Duties

• Agreeing and processing the daily cash settlements with all counterparties within agreed deadlines.

• The investigation of trade discrepancies with Front Office and counterparties to ensure accuracy and completeness of settlement processes

• Resolution of post trade settlement and processing issues with relevant parties in a timely manner and ensuring appropriate use of escalation.

• Ensuring all trade confirmations received from counterparties are complete and accurate, and meet market documentation standards and requirements

• To provide regular reporting of outstanding issues to management, detailing progress and actions taken

• Managing time between BAU and projects effectively and agree BAU/ project work in advance with line manager

• To take an active role in identifying opportunities for system and process improvement.

• Production of team MIS with detailed commentary for management reporting


Person Requirements

• Advanced degree valuable

• Experience in a trade processing / settlement function with knowledge of execution, control and risk.

• Strong working knowledge of ISDA documentation and conventions

• Excellent interpersonal skills including relationship management, communication, teamwork and partnership

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Interest in business issues and ability to learn quickly is essential

• Experience supporting change and strategy

• Proactive and positive attitude and desire to make a difference
