Job Title:Manager Technology Location:Eden House, Spital Square Start Date:03/02/2014 End Date:03/03/2014 Wage:Competitive Job Summary: At Sapient the Manager, Technology will oversee the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture for eCommerce development projects. This role will be responsible for managing technology teams from definition phase through implementation, as well as contribute to the sales cycle. Key Responsibilities include: * Demonstrate expert level proficiency with Demandware * Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of the particular Commerce product suite to successfully define, build and deploy online commerce and self service applications * Estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develop project plan incorporating all project variables including risk * Establish measurable criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs * Lead the translation of the client’s business requirements into systems design * Work with the client's IT organization to establish technology strategy at an application level * Establish high, mid and micro level plans and set technical direction for a team of up to 30 people * An ability to act as a mentor to other technical staff is critical. * Prepare elements of sales proposals to represent Sapient's technical expertise * In addition to working on billable client engagements, may also assist as needed on pre-sales opportunities such as RFP responses, proposal delivery, architecture assessments, and technical qualifications Job Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree required and degree in Computer Science or related field preferredor equivalent military experience * Expert in Demandware with at least 4 years * Knows and have done internationalization project in the past specifically for EU * Have implemented Stibo business rules and done internationalization design for Stibo * 5 years in systems integration and development, package implementation, and/or interactive design * Expert proficiency in Java, OO Application Development, under UNIX or NT is required * Knowledge of multiple other technologies including but not limited to CGI, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, PL/SQL, Oracle Developer 2000 tools, C/C , Perl, TCL, RDBMS, CORBA, COM is a plus * Requires a strong understanding of complex computer science and software engineering principles * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills, are essential About SapientNitro SapientNitro, part of Sapient®, is a new breed of agency redefining storytelling for an always-on world.
