Head of EMEA Regulatory Reporting
Regulatory reporting, analysis and planning team, part of the EMEA Financial Controllers function, is responsible for the internal and external financial regulatory reports for all entities in the BNYM group in Europe with the objective of delivering world class regulatory reporting .
The Finance department at BNY M in EMEA consists of approximately 200 finance professionals spread across EMEA, plus offshore support in Chennai.
This position has accountability for all regulatory reporting issues and deadlines for the BNY M entities based in EMEA. The position will sit on internal committees and project groups and will interact on a regular basis with external parties such as regulators, auditors and industry associations and internal parties such as other finance and treasury colleagues, compliance and risk departments, systems specialists, group regulatory department and local entity management with front line regulator liaison. The position will be staffed with a qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA) with financial services industry experience and extensive regulatory knowledge and experience.
Position Accountabilities
Analysis and implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and procedures, i.e. regulator handbook updates, consultation papers. Focus on CRD IV implementation.
* Business advice on all regulatory reporting matters, including the regulatory impact of M&A projects, group legal entity restructuring and other strategic projects,
* Review and give significant input to capital and liquidity stress testing and updates for the ICAAP and ILAA, including ad hoc forecasting.
* Oversight of the regulatory reporting process to regional regulators, ensuring accurate and timely reporting:
* Oversight of the daily capital adequacy, liquidity and large exposures calculations MI process. Getting actively involved in reconciliations and variances, including liaison with the business, and reporting on explanations for movements.
* Optimise system functionality to increase the teams efficiency, including the development of a standardised regulatory reporting infrastructure across the EMEA region.
* Oversight of internal regulatory MI to group.
* Provision of support to US regulatory reporting team, including completion of US regulatory reporting schedules for EMEA legal entities and other data requests as required.
* Manage and development of all regulatory reporting team members.
* A key contact point and relationship manager with BNY Mellon Group functions and external auditors on regulatory and other issues as required.
Technical Knowledge

* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA).
* Financial services industry experience
* Detailed knowledge and past experience of regulatory rules in an investment firm (BIPRU and GENPRU), and regulatory systems experience. Knowledge of FinStudio system would be an advantage.
* Advanced level computer skills and vision of automation
* Highly organised with ability to meet strict deadlines
* Team player, with ability to motivate and develop staff across a broad geography
Qualifications
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA).
