Overall Purpose:
A Mathematical Modeller with a GNSS background is required to join our Engineering department. Responsible to the GNSS & Airborne Systems Group Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be working in the field of Navigation and Targeting System development, covering:
Specifying and developing Key System Performance Indicators for prototyping, product development and technical documentation
Conducting simulations using Matlab and Simulink
Analyses of Key Performance Indicators for testing prototype and products
Analyses, validation and verification of Test Results
Experience of Mathematical Based Systems Design within the Development Lifecycle is required. Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and Software Development Tools.
Demonstrated ability to transition from requirements capture through to architecture.

Technical Responsibility: Take overall responsibility for development of algorithms, analysis of performance
Commercial Responsibility: Ensuring quality and on-time delivery within budget.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
ü Must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
ü A minimum of five years industry experience in mathematical modelling is desirable
ü Applicant must have knowledge of GPS/GNSS/Galileo signals and structures, and principles of navigation
ü Experience of GNSS receiver design using FPGA and DSP sub systems is desirable
ü Applicant must be familiar with the traditional systems engineering lifecycle
ü Applicant must have familiarity with navigation algorithms and sensor fusion (e.g. inertial, MEMs)/integration techniques
ü Knowledge of cryptographic concepts is desirable
ü Applicant must have excellent Maths Modelling experience with Matlab and Simulink, intermediate level or beyond
ü Robust Navigation concepts in GNSS-degraded environments is desirable
ü Advanced RAIM techniques and algorithmsis desirable
ü Applicant must be capapable of operating independently at Customer sites
ü Experience of working within a military environment or with Military Customers is desirable
ü Applicant must hold or have the ability to achieve Security Clearance
ü Applicant must be ble to undertake international travel
ü Experience of working with system integrators/OEMs is desirable
ü Experience in designing and integrating digital signal processing is desirable
ü Experience in the design of Kalman and Particle filters is desirable
ü Applicants must have familiarity with C/C++/C# in Embedded Systems and APIs
ü Applicants must have experience in manipulation of rotational matrices and Euler angle transformation
