Our Lighting sector is dedicated to introducing innovative end-user-driven and energy-efficient solutions and applications for lighting, based on a thorough understanding of the customer needs, both in public and private context. The OEM channel manager is the marketing channel specialist for our OEM lighting business which is a traditional B2B role.


The main purposes of the role are to:




  • Maximize sales and margin of Philips Lighting to this specific customer category




  • Select and develop the best solutions and tools to support the local commercial manager & sales team and the Philips brand within this channel.




*Candidate Responsibilities *






  • As the marketing channel specialist the key areas of responsibility will be




  • Define, communicate and execute the UK&I; 2 year channel plans (incl. local adaptations where relevant of the European strategies and plans)




  • Management of the local channel budgets related to execution of the marketing plan




  • Ownership, translation & construction of local insights, value propositions and solutions and themes which are relevant to the channel




  • Provide local channel support with development of sales plans and dedicated tools and training




  • Drive OEM channel sales for lighting and initiate corrective marketing actions where needed with sales management input




  • Project Manage the key projects which form the critical path to achieving the sales results




Candidate Profile


We are looking for someone with strong analytical and marketing skills and capabilities. You will be enthusiastic and with strong interpersonal skills. Ideally degree educated, computer literate, pro-active, flexible and a motivated team player.


This role requires a dedicated and talented individual who can multitask and bring a considerable amount of knowledge and enthusiasm to our team. Ideally from a B2B marketing background, you will have a proven track record in commercial marketing with emphasis on understanding a technical or OEM environment.


This role is pivotal in ensuring the Philips Brand Values are maintained across the entire marketing mix into the channel and the wider business through visual and written communication.


A key objective of the role is to create powerful, compelling and unique marketing messages and campaigns that drive brand differentiation, positive customer experiences and maximise profitability.


You should ideally have a fundamental understanding of the needs of the lighting market, however this is not critical as long as you can clearly display an understanding of the OEM sector and/or have a technical background or can clearly display an aptitude for working with technical portfolio.


Desired Experience



  • 5+ years' business and/or marketing experience with a strong aptitude for project management

  • . years experience in B2B or technical/OEM market

  • Innovation – ability to develop/execute on creative new ideas through collaboration

  • Online/digital/e-Commerce knowledge

  • Team oriented – ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional, international teams

  • Experience in a role that requires strong customer focus and planning skills
