Job Description Scope: The Sonoma-Cutrer Homeplace Manager plays a key role in the marketing and management of one of the wine industry’s truly iconic brands. They are responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the homeplace experience and strategically align operations with the overall brand business goals and objectives. They have direct responsibility for on-site sales and marketing activity as well as the execution of homeplace programs, events, tours, tasting room operations, CRM and wine club activity. In doing so, they deliver quality performance and adherence to standards while managing their business within financial and budgetary guidelines. Basic Function: In alignment with brand/marketing direction, the Homeplace Manager is responsible for the overall management of Sonoma-Cutrer’s hospitality and CRM activity. Their first priority is to produce a truly memorable brand experience for guests/visitors and trade groups. Responsibilities: Homeplace Operations Management (percent of time: 40%) ß Responsible for exceptional customer service and values. Coach for staff success by communicating event goals, business focus and desired outcomes that achieve excellence in execution. ß Oversee tour plans and tour path as well as tasting room operations with daily supervision. ß Hire, train and manage the collective Homeplace staff. Build effective organizational plans and revise/issue job descriptions as needed. ß Maintain monthly and annual reporting models that keep the management team apprised of financial results as well as the overall activity at the facility. ß Work closely with the Brand and Finance teams to develop annual budgets and capital plans. ß Effectively manage interdepartmental communications and build relationships with all winery departments. ß Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the Hospitality team. ß Oversee food service operations for Sonoma-Cutrer including catering for trade, consumer and company events, management & scheduling of staff, menu development, quality & service standards, inventory & budget management, décor, rental coordination, event planning and related activities. jd2">jd2 jd2">ß Manage and proactively plan tasting room inventories and pricing, for wines and merchandise, to meet demand, ensure an exceptional experience and maximize profitability. Place weekly wine orders from warehouse for tasting bar and retail shop. ß Maintain reports and records of tasting room operations, visitation and CRM programs. ß Develop annual merchandising plan to correspond with programming and theme objectives. ß Work with B-F’s digital team to update website, facebook page, etc. with content such as events, wine notes, photography, tourism news, etc. ß Execute short and long-term promotional plans as designed in conjunction with the Marketing team. ß Manage hospitality operation in alignment with the overall property image and brand positioning.
