Responsibilities Responsible for managing a physician clinical practice site(s) including the administration and operations, budget and work flows to ensure maximum patient volume, practice efficiency, patient satisfaction and revenue targets are achieved. Works collaboratively with practice physicians to ensure the efficient and effective daily operations of a clinical practice. Operationalizes activities that actualize the long and short-term objectives of department strategic plan. Assists in business strategy development including reviewing growth opportunities with marketing and business development staff to determine target regional outreach opportunities. Manages the physician billing, coding and precertification operation, to ensure timely and accurate submission while monitoring key financial indicators. Works in conjunction with billing/coding department to resolve billing discrepancies and patient complaints. Designs, monitors, and responsible for department budget and Strata Cap submissions. Compiles budget variance reports as required. Manages and coaches staff in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and programs. Approves hires, terminations, promotions, demotions, pay and associate status changes. Assigns responsibilities and tasks to supervisors and associates to support department function. Manages department structure and organizes the way work is performed. Facilitates (as applicable) compliance of joint commission standards and other State regulatory requirements with physicians and staff.
