POSITION: Jobs Team Career Advisor- Temporary SALARY / WAGE: 30,000- 35,000 DEPARTMENT: Next Generation Career Center LOCATION: NGCC NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1 POSITION SUMMARY: Place NGCC customers in long-term employment, serving as a liaison between employer and customer to meet immediate needs of the employer and help the customer retain employment. Essential Job Function: Attend monthly staff meetings Refer customers to workshops and market appropriate products in the Product Box Collect required data on all customers and maintain accurate records in Missouri Toolbox and Identify job prospects through help-wanted ads, cold calls, job fairs, word of mouth, and employment search sites Maintain bi-weekly contact with clients referred for job placement, providing job leads and Interview clients about education, work, and volunteer background to assist in setting Prepare reports of customer outcomes and additional achievements Assist all clients of the NGCC with high quality customer service and ensure employment Job Skills and Abilities: Ability to resolve problems that develop for working clients to improve job retention Ability to create a smooth transition for customers from workshops and/or skill-based programs Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Must possess strong written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to maintain thorough documentation and data input into Missouri Toolbox and BFL Ability to complete various tasks and follow up with clients, co-workers, and supervisors Job Qualifications: Four-year college degree or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in Placement and Retention services.
