(USA-MS-Canton) Inventory Control Clerk / Canton
This position is for a Inventory Control Clerk with a logistics company location in Canton, MS. Must be flexible on shift schedule as these positions will be 2nd, 3rd, 1st Shift positions. The main purpose of the Inventory Control Clerk role is to be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying all inbound and outbound orders. Insure that inventory entries and adjustment are reflected accurately in the warehouse management system. Key Accountabilities: Must be able to maintain inventory records; perform daily inventory management procedures and duties; coordinate physical inventory procedures and adjust system as necessary; follow procedures to accurately adjust inventory for over/short, defective, and damaged product; perform routine clerical assignments including filing invoices and maintaining records; and perform other duties as assigned by management or customer. (Customer Focus): Work with peers in order to complete warehouse functions accurately. Receive work assignments and training from Group Coordinator Lead; Receive guidance from and report status to management. Requirements and Qualifications include: High School Diploma or equivalent , six months warehousing and inventory experience; forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment is desirable. Must have working knowledge of warehouse systems, processes and procedures; good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates and customers; ability to work specified shift; has knowledge of commonly -used concepts, practices, and procedures within the logistics field; ability to read, understand, and follow directions, instructions, work procedures, safty rules; ability to operate various office equipment as needed; ability to perform simple math calculation; ability to operate basic document and spreadsheet software.
