(USA-MS-Vicksburg) Business Analyst / Vicksburg
This position is for a Business Analyst with an engineering services company location in Vicksburg, MS. Will provide a wide range of scientific R.and. D business analysis and administrative support in preparation of scientific and organizational information to the Environmental Laboratory. Utilize a variety of computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and other software, as appropriate in performance of these duties. Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare technical presentation material for Branch Chief and other branch personnel; Utilize extensive expertise in the use of financial management automated data entry systems for budget analysis and review and other organizational standard software to maintain records and reports; Extensive use of Excel spreadsheets to track multi-million dollar projects and funding; Prepare financial documents and is source of advice regarding budgetary and organizational rules and regulations relative to training requests, travel requests and vouchers; Receive and processes funding, monitors balances, and processes billings; Manage and distributes direct labor funds for Branch using complex financial databases including P2 and CEFMS; Perform duties as backup timekeeper for Branch; Assemble and format official correspondence, reports, proposals, research documents, and other documents generated in the Branch for ERDC managers, other agencies, scientific organizations, and ERDC customers; Prepare and distribute suspense lists for the branch, following up to ensure timely responses. Requirements and Qualifications include: BA/S degree or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience; Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint presentations, financial applications and utilizing smart boards; Desired Skills: Adobe Photoshop knowledge; SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a favorable Public Trust (NAC); Candidates must follow all company Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements; Must have a valid Driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
