Title: QA Tech Serv Supt B Location: US-NE-Nebraska City Job Number: NEB00241 Cargill Value Added Meats Retail facilities utilize state-of-the-art beef, pork and turkey processing capabilities to deliver high-quality meat products to our partners. Our retail customers come to us from traditional grocers, supermarkets and warehouse clubs to provide their meat and deli needs. We provide innovative solutions for their fresh meat case, frozen meat departments, deli counters, and more. Cargill Value Added Meats Retail has an opportunity for a QA Tech Serv Supt B with our Cargill Value Added Meats business in Nebraska City, Nebraska. This position is responsible for maintenance, auditing plant HACCP food safety and other regulatory programs. Responsible for Supervising FSQR Supervisors, development and control of Quality programs, projects, scheduling tasks for verifiers and justifiers, and assisting in training of Technicians. Responsible for management and control of product specifications. In the absence of the Manager, this position will act as liaison between USDA/CFIA. This position has accountability for a medium to high complexity facility or limited scope. Principle Accountabilities: · · 25% - Food safety and quality incident reporting, incident investigations, audit responses, corrective actions. Coordinate all audits, customer visits, complaint/claims investigation and follow-up. · 10% - Training in plant employees on food safety programs, regulatory changes, specification changes and other program updates. · 15% - Insure specification system is current and accurate. Insures that product specification requirements are audited and adhered too. · 10%- Manage sanitation and pest control programs. Assist with other duties as assigned by Technical Services Manager. · · Requires occasional travel Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Food Science, or Biological Sciences · Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing environment · Knowledge of laboratory, SPC and plant processes. Knowledge of USDA/CFIA government standards in food safety. Knowledge of specifications. · Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel) · 1 year experience in Technical Services, i.e., Quality, Food Safety, Auditing, etc. · 1 year of supervisory experience · Working knowledge of laboratory, SPC and plant processes. Strong understanding of USDA/CFIA government standards in food safety. · Strong understanding of specifications.
