Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education. The Cytology Service Assistant produces accurate medical diagnostic data of final cytology reports. Produces accurate medical diagnostic data from slide consultations from physician dictated and handwritten material. Review microscopic diagnoses for inconsistencies and verify corrections with appropriate pathologist or technical personnel. Accession slides submitted from in-house physician and outside physicians for diagnostic evaluation. Shift: Monday-Friday; 11:00am-7:00pm Qualified candidates will have: * High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant experience required; Bachelors degree with 3 years of relevant experience preferred. * Word processing experience essential; proficiency in Microsoft Office Word * Typing skills (min 50 WPM) required * Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills MSKCC is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
