(USA-NY-New York) Part-time Laboratory Technologist (Clinical Chemistry)
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education. The Laboratory Medicine Department is seeking an experienced Technologist to perform and maintain proficiency in the technical and related work of the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. This individual will review requisitions and Order Entry orders, verify accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into computer; perform technical duties in all laboratory sections, with minimal supervision, as assigned; maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files; prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer, with minimal supervision; create neat, accurate, well-formatted documents; contribute to upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area; assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures; and perform routine equipment maintenance. Bachelors’ degree (Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Technology) required, as is a minimum 2 years experience and New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (ASCP certification strongly preferred).
