Video Editor/Animator Job Description ABC Sales | Creative Services supports the sales and marketing efforts of ABC and The Disney-ABC Television Group. Our team is currently looking to hire a full time video editor/animator. In this position, candidate will need to assemble and edit video clips, create sizzle reels, animate opens/bumpers and type lock-ups and logos in order to support ABC Television programming/ ABC clients and ABC special projects. Looking for a seasoned storyteller, required to present his/her ideas to senior managers/executives and team members as well as be able to take direction from creative directors and take a proactive position in assignment completion. Editor should be able to craft story arcs and promote pertinent information. You will be required to take a brief from conception to completion and delivery as well as understand the production and technical constraints. You will be required to produce to a consistently high standard. Responsibilities -Creating a wide array of videos, crafting footage in digital post-production -Working with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and assemble the required assets -Demonstrate understanding of client branding strategies and implementation -Make creative decisions regarding the editing of projects based on written scripts or input from managers and clients -Arrange and layer visual content, sound, and graphics to make the parts into a continuous whole and evoke desired response from audience -Perform technical editorial functions including rough cuts, graphic design & integration, audio sweetening, and export of projects in various formats -Be constantly vigilant throughout all projects for correct details and accurate program content -Troubleshoot own editing equipment and software -Work in most proactive and professional manner Basic Qualifications Candidates will need to have the following technical and creative skill-sets. -Encoding, Conversion and Transcoding Video -Color Correction -Frame Rate Conversion -Work with 2k and 4k footage -Basic Motion Tracking -Time Remapping -Audio Mixing and Editing -Video Capture -Storyboarding and StyleFrames layout -Rendering and rendering format utilization -Work with centralized media and well as networked assets -A good working knowledge of Mac OSX and digital workflows The candidate should have deep knowledge of the following softwares. -Adobe Video Suite from Master Collection (Especially Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator) -Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Pro X -Microsoft Office (Outlook and Powerpoint) -FTP Software -Apple Keynote -Cinema4D (a plus) -Maya (a plus) -DVD/Blu-Ray creation (Adobe Encore and/or DVD Studio Pro) Applicants must have an excellent reel and be able to explain their contributions to the work.
