Reports directly to the Business Unit Manager. Coordinators and supervises key activities related to the manufacture of components and/or finished goods in the respective Production Area. Provides capable leadership and motivation to associates and other supervisory staff. Effectively executes all activities in compliance with the highest safety, quality, service and total cost objectives of the business at all times. Reports financial, technical, safety, personnel, and other pertinent information to Business Unit Manager in a regular and timely fashion. **_Essential Functions:_** Responsible for providing effective leadership and coordination to achieve departmental objectives performance (safety, quality, cost, service, GMP compliance, associate motivation/morale). Execution of duties is accomplished through direction, coordination and monitoring of the performance of shift supervisors, associates and support group activities consistent with the stated objectives of the Business Unit. Prepares and presents the detailed annual budget for the department to the Business Unit Manger of their respective area. Originates and/or is a key participant in developing, planning, executing and sustaining safety, quality, continuous improvement and cost reduction programs for their respective area. Develops, and presents quarterly financial reforecast to the Business Unit Manger of their respective area for review and approval. Coordinates activities to ensure departmental compliance to all Federal, State, Local and Company regulatory requirements. These elements include FDA, EPA, OSHA, ISO, DHEC, EEOC and Company polices relative to the manufacture of product, lot control requirements, documentation requirements, housekeeping, preventative maintenance, calibration, associate training and safety (equipment, associate and material). Analyze production schedules provided by the Materials Control or function and actively review with these functions any changes needed to maximize operating efficiencies and service levels within the approved financial and quality plan. Will serve as manufacturing representative when conducting MWOs (Manufacturing Work Orders), investigates alternate materials/processes and implements revision of any specifications or documentation within the department. Originates and prepares requests for capital funding (CB-2) as needed to meet required manufacturing goals. Plays a primary role in ongoing support and leadership of the cultural transformation process. Approves and ensure use of departmental procedures and forms within respective area. Assists in formalizing and coordinating training activities for respective Business Unit, in conjunction with our Training Administrator. Monitor and control materials variance, direct and indirect labor cost and expense spending month to date on an ongoing basis. Address and resolve any payroll, production, or waste reporting issues with Accounting on an as-needed basis. Attend and follow-up on meetings for: Compliance, Complaints, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Accounting, Materials Control, etc. Chairs and directs Business Unit Core Team meetings twice monthly to monitor and take actions to improve or sustain Core Team dashboard metrics performance. Serves as primary contact in dealing with QA HOLD issues and returned items requiring additional time or special effort (beyond day to day) for proper disposition in a timely fashion. **_Additional Responsibilities_** **__** Performs other duties as required by the Business Unit Manger of their respective area. **__** * Required a BS or BA degree in technical or business related field and minimum of 4 years of high volume manufacturing related experience in manufacturing facility with demonstrated skills in effective management, planning, supervision, administration and associate relations. Prefer background in regulated (FDA) industry in a managerial or supervisory capacity. * Must have demonstrated leadership abilities; excellent organizational & critical thinking skills; high sense of urgency; strongly motivated; balanced perspective; and an effective communicator at all levels. * Experience in developing and managing to departmental budgets strongly desired * Experience in medical device manufacturing, and experience with Lean Manufacturing and SAP highly desirable. * Solid understanding of standards cost accounting and manufacturing financial controls required. *Job:* Production Management *Primary Location:* US-South Carolina-Sumter *Shift:* First Shift / Day Job *Req ID:* PRO104CL
