(USA) Sales Consultant - UTAH
Salt Lake City, UTAH We are seeking a Sales Consultant to represent BD's Medical Surgical product portfolio to the US Medical/Hospital healthcare market segment. Primary responsibilities include: meeting/exceeding sales budget for territory; managing incremental conversion opportunities from initial targeting through evaluation and implementation, product ordering and in-servicing; maintaining existing business; implementing marketing initiatives; implementing national/regional contractual agreements; providing routine performance reporting; working with local distributor branches servicing the territory; and utilizing available sales support resources. **_Qualifications _** Must have three to five years’ experience as a sales professional. Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences required; MBA a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills a must. Must have a demonstrated successful sales track record, solid negotiation skills, understanding of buyer/decision maker types, exhibit effective selling, listening and verbal/presentation skills, and ability to assess and respond to customer needs. Experience calling on large IDNs and Regional Purchasing Coalitions is a plus. As are healthy relationships with customers within the territory. Should be able to provide 3-5 customer references from current position. Must have experience influencing and connecting multiple decision makers and stakeholders with varying degrees of influence and personality types. Former clinical experience preferred, specifically in the area of Infusion and hazardous drug delivery. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Must have demonstrated experience in managing both internal and external budgets and resources, conducting pre-call planning, and ability to prioritize and segment accounts.
