(USA-UT-ROOSEVELT) Asphalt Screed Operator
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of screeds and compactors to bring asphalt, soils and aggregate within compaction specifications. * + Operate equipment safely and efficiently. + Knowledge of asphalt and aggregate characteristics. + Knowledge of screed and rolling patterns. + Familiarity with vibrating frequencies in comparison to maximum depth. + Must be able to follow grades. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and-or ability required. Education-Experience # High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Previous asphalt and roller experience is required. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and-or move any where up to 50 lbs. Physical agilities test may be required. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and-or humid outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and-or heat.
