Senior Chemical BuyerLocation: Salt Lake City,UTSalary Range: $75k-$100kEmployment Type: Full TimeEmployer: Prince,Perelson amp;amp; AssociatesDescription: Job DescriptionThe Senior Chemical Buyer position is responsible for outsourcing chemicals for assigned categories. You will also work with cross functional teams on new or alternate chemical(s) approval process including quality assurance and regulatory compliance and documentation.Responsibilities: Purchasing of assigned categories of Chemicals and Raw Materials by plant,establish key vendors to fit each plant location and provide support to Material planners,Ramp;amp;D,Plant Operations,Regulatory,Corporate QA,Finance,Innovation-Brand managers and Safety. Responsible for new chemicals-raws implementation by taking ownership from start to finish in collaboration with Material Planners,Ramp;amp;D,Plant Operations,Regulatory,Corporate QA,Finance,Innovation-Brand managers and Safety. Remain up to date on market trends on the assigned categories,including sourcing strategy,establishing vendor relationships and contract negotiations. Identify alternate sources of supply not currently utilized,qualify and introduce to the business in order to drive cost,quality,responsiveness and improved reliability. Responsible for regular interaction with cross functional teams within the company to gain input and assess the performance of suppliers in terms of delivered cost,quality,service and innovation. Use feedback from these interactions to make sourcing decisions.Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Business Management with a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience,chemical purchasing a strong plus. Familiar with domestic and global sourcing. Experience with bid process and excellent negotiations skills including good analytical skills to quantify the results. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Experience with SAP is a strong preference Excellent organizational-time management skills with focus on multitasking and urgency on critical issues to keep the plants in operations.
