## Description **ALSTOM ** **Alstom is a global leader in the world of power generation and rail infrastructure and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies.** Special Measurements Group will reside within the existing Technical Field Service Department and will need to work closely with a number of other departments, both locally and globally. This role will report to the Special Measurements Manager. **_Main duties and responsibilities will include;_** Assist in developing future services and technology, specifying where necessary the equipment, software and best practice * Creation of process oriented documentation to capture step by step the procedure for most accurate data capture.**__** * Intermittent travel, both locally and internationally to facilitate the needs of the department, not expected to be for long periods.**__** * Capture of accurate, reliable data at customer and Rugby sites as necessary using metrology tooling and processes**__** * Use of metrology tools, software and defined processes to aid retrofit and service installations, overhauls or site surveys as necessary**__** * Evaluation and preparation of data from site to provide engineering with complete design data.**__** * Organising service and calibration of equipment**__** * Support integration of processes into business**__** ## Qualifications **_Candidate requirements_** * HNC/D or equivalent in engineering discipline**__** * Experience of manufacturing and provision of data to manufacturing sites**__** * Experience in relevant systems and software, particularly relevant CAD systems**__** * Experience of blade design, particularly interface details**__** * Understanding of general best practice for accurate data capture**__** * Willingness to travel and develop new processes**__** * Motivated and able to work alone, or as part of a small team**__** * Ability to create clear reports and processes**__** * Ability to communicate effectively**__** Experience of the general power industry *Job:* Field Service *Primary Location:* UK-Warwickshire-Rugby *Organization:* Thermal Services | Thermal Services *Schedule:* Full-time *Req ID:* RUG000H1
