Description
Join the Open Source Technology Centre (OTC) in London as a Software Engineer, working within a multi-disciplined and dynamic team, including UX Designers and other Engineers to help develop new and exciting software concepts and products.
Exciting opportunities such as, Prototyping new UX concepts, and contributing to varied open source projects and technologies, such as Android Frameworks and Linux sub-systems. The successful indiviudal will work in an Agile and iterative environment, performing design, integration and testing.
Qualifications
2-3 years experience of software systems and components design & development
Research technical challenges and provide creative, workable solutions
Knowledge in any area of open source development. (e.g Android, Linux, GTK/GNOME, Clutter, OpenGL, HTML5/JS, Webkit, Gstreamer etc)
Ability to program in C, C++ and Java. Experience of auto tools, git, and packaging systems a plus
Experience interacting with open source communities (involvement in any of mailing lists, bugzilla, forums, IRC) a plus
Team work - ability to work well and collaborate with other members of the OTC team
Strong communication, analysis and problem solving skills
