## Description ALSTOM GRID UK Ltd Substation Automation Solutions is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Substation Intelligent Electronic Devices which deliver Protection, Measurement and Datacom functionality to our customers around the world. **_The role:_** **__** **Purpose of the Job:** To project manage the industrialisation of new products and enhancements from concept through design to manufacture, working with global R&D; teams and global manufacturing sites. **Main responsibilities:** * Project Manage effectively all Industrialisation aspects of assigned projects in order to achieve fully the project requirements. * Co-ordinate the other Industrialisation aspects of Manufacturing Systems, Test Solutions and Production Master Data. * Co-ordinate activities external to Industrialisation in line with project requirements. * Assess track and report Industrialisation costs at project level. * Assist when requested or as required on tasks outside of the current job role, to achieve ‘critical’ departmental targets. * Produce Product Industrialisation Plans. * Report Monthly on the status of assigned products. ## Qualifications **Educational Requirements**: * HNC/HND level qualification in Engineering (degree level desirable) or equivalent experience. **Technical Knowledge/Experience** * Experience in Production Engineering/Industrialisation and in Project Management **Specific Knowledge** * In-depth knowledge of the design for manufacture methodology. * Knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management & Six Sigma. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and programmes. * Business understanding * In-depth knowledge of the product creation and Industrialisation process. * In-depth understanding of product quality requirements. ** *Alstom is a global leader in the world of power generation, power transmission and rail infrastructure and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies.
