We serve the Construction, Oil & Gas, Oilfield Services, Pipeline, Marine, Waste Water and other associated industries from its purpose built facilities in the Middle East.
We are seeking to hire Payable Specialist for our operation in UAE. You will be responsible for managing the accounts payable department and the efficient management of the purchase ledger function and the payment of all company invoices in a timely fashion. Ensure effective internal controls are in place to ensure that transactions are authorized and completed in an accurate and valid manner.
Job accountabilities
Liaise with the Managing Director to secure approval of the weekly and monthly payments. Responsible for managing the accounts payable department and the efficient management of the purchase ledger function and the payment of all company invoices in a timely fashion. Ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable department and motivate and lead the team to achieve desired results and efficiencies. Review payment budgets on a monthly basis and recommend for approval. Monitor spending for adherence to budget and in line with the cash flow; re-set priorities for payment, if necessary. Work with the Procurement Department to review existing credit lines and negotiate better terms on prices, credit terms, credit limits and preferred supplier agreements. Ensures all vendors / suppliers are paid per contractual terms and that inquiries and payment issues are responded to and resolved in a timely manner. Work closely with the Treasury Accountant for the funding of payment requirements. Ensure the team is replying to queries on a timely manner and queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently. Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures related to payments. Review all processes and procedures relating to accounts payable function and implement best practice in terms of the procure to pay process. Carry out other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager or Head of Department. Ensure effective internal controls are in place to ensure that transactions are authorized and completed in an accurate and valid manner.
