Interacts positively and professionally with guests, colleagues and other departments as appropriate and required.
Welcomes guests on arrival and helps to seat them.
Recommends and suggests specialties to guest, up sells whenever possible.
Takes orders from guests, puts items through micros and follows through service in compliance with hotel standards, clearing and resetting the tables once the guests have finished.
Prints and presents bill to the guest, ensures correct payment and hands to Supervisor to close it off.
Anticipates guest needs.
Knows all areas of the hotel well for cross selling and information.
Collects Food & Beverages items from the kitchen and returns used china and glass ware and silver to dishwashing area.
Assists in setting up cleaning the restaurant.
Collects supplies from stores and ensures all side-stations are correctly stocked, tidy and clean.
Reports any breakage to the Captain or Restaurant Supervisor.
Complies with hotel’s hygiene, health and safety policies.
Complies with company’s set grooming guidelines.
