Would you like to perform rewarding work while contributing to the success of an established, growing company? **Pragmatics, Inc.** is seeking **Software Engineers** to support a DoD client providing a critical link to the Air Mobility Command partners. ***POSITION BASED ON AWARD OF WORK*** As a _**Junior**_ Software Engineer, your responsibilities will be: * Under general supervision, design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or complex enhancements to existing software using Java, JavaScript, SOA, and VMware technologies. * Work with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems. * As required, participate in the development of technical design documentation. * Assist in implementing agile practices of iterative development, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration. * Assist in the training of less experienced software development staff. * Ability to work within an agile development team to meet/exceed customer deadlines and standards. **REQUIRED SKILLS**: * Five plus years of hands-on experience developing web-based applications in a J2EE/JEE environment. * Candidate must have strong Java, JavaScript, RDBMS skills in a professional environment. * With general guidance, develop, test, and debug web-based applications and components in compliance with standards for open systems and DoD architectures. * Assist with detailed design documentation. **DESIRED SKILLS**: Hands on experience with SOA, PKI, Agile Development/Test Driven Development/Continuous Integration, VMware, VersionOne, DISA/DoD experience desired. **EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE** : A Bachelor degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and zero to two years of software development experience. **CLEARANCE**: Clearable to Secret **COMPANY OVERVIEW** Join an established, reliable mid-tier government contractor with a reputation for excellence.
