(USA) IT Director
Title: IT Director Business Unit: Warren Rupp Location: USA-OH-Mansfield Description: **Summary:** The position will provide overall coordination of all IT services delivered locally as well as through IDEX Global Information services group. The position also requires a good understanding of the WR/IDEX standard business practices, priorities, opportunities and the ability to communicate and manage the delivery of various IT services to enable business performance improvements. The qualified individual will support local business applications that support various aspects of the operations of the business, insure high availability, reliability and security of local network and communication services. **Major Tasks and Responsibilities:** * Accountable for day-to-day management of local business applications and data center equipment and services and coordination of local support for Warren Rupp enterprise application and services. * Responsible for the day to day management of business applications and operational support that includes employee training, process automation utilizing system capabilities or re-engineering of business practices, reporting, scheduling work loads, change management and other locally managed operational support activities. * Develop an annual plan that identifies local project priorities and WR/IDEX wide initiatives for implementation according to time lines and priorities established by company management and GIS group. Must take responsibility for facilitating business integration opportunities in consultations with local company management. * Develop a budget for all IT services and manage / track expenditure for local services. Work with IDEX – GIS group to implement enterprise wide standardization and cost reduction initiatives. * Deliver local application support: Insure proper configuration, performance and reporting integrity of local business unit applications (ERP, CRM, E-commerce, etc) and coordinate resolution of system related problems with software suppliers or local developers or IDEX service providers. Insure compliance to licensing of all third party software including desktop products. * Deliver local infrastructure and hardware support: Insure proper maintenance of all local hardware, ongoing maintenance of contracts for equipment, monitor performance of local network communications, coordinate upgrades to operating systems and operational support through third party vendors or service providers. * Implement appropriate measures to remain in compliance with IDEX security policies, requirements for Sarbanes Oxley and other directives from GIS group. * Maintain an up-to date backup and disaster recovery document and test plans according to IDEX policies. * Manage local communication services including PBX support, LAN cabling, LAN and WAN equipment on premises to insure high availability. * Coordinate and provide appropriate level of training on business unit applications and enterprise systems for local staff within the business unit. * Work with Operational excellence group to implement process improvements leveraging existing systems deployed within the unit to support six sigma, lean, mixed mode manufacturing and value stream mapping initiatives. * Help in developing and maintaining Front End Solutions that meet the Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Business requirements. Solutions will be standardized across the Fluid and Metering Technology group of business units. **Other Responsibilities:** * Participates in CPI activities. * Collects data for predetermined metrics. * Participates in cross training. * Applies 5S in area. * All other duties as assigned. **Process Metrics:** * Response cycle time, (D) * Lotus Notes phaseout, (M) * AS400 phase out, (W) * Hardware maintenance, (M) * Expense control, (W) * Project completion cycle time, (M) * Equipment downtime, (M) **Competencies:** * Business Acumen * Managing Through Systems * Directing Others * Drive For Results * Listening * Priority setting * Customer Focus * Interpersonal Savvy * Conflict Management Qualifications: **Process Owner’s Minimum Requirements:** **Education:** * 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience with specialization in IT or business administration. **Experience:** * Hands on experience in JDE one-world applications is required. Good working knowledge of Financial, Sales, Manufacturing and Purchasing/ Inventory modules is mandatory. Experience in the JDE 8.11 version is a definite plus. * Prior work experience in functional or operational areas will be a plus * 2- 3 years of consulting experience either implementing large scale technology enabled project, strategy consulting or enabling process improvements in multiple industries is required * Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a small or medium size company with overall responsibility for IT related functions. * Experience in MS-CRM, bar code technology, EDI, Crystal Reports and Web based application solutions are desirable. * Some experience in network technologies with hands-on knowledge of LAN components, communication protocols, active directory (AD), LDAP services, Microsoft Windows and server operating systems and desktop software is also desirable but not required * Prior experience in managing or operating a small data center is desirable. Knowledge of backup, recovery procedures, and security is essential. **Specific skills, knowledge, and/or licenses:** * Good project management disciplines, organization and communication skills are required. * A team player with the ability to enable changes in the business processes and ability to work cooperatively with all groups is essential. * Must possess good communication skills and strong work ethic * Some travel will be necessary to company locations. **Working Conditions:** * Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands, stand and sit for extended periods of time. * Noise levels are usually quiet, sometimes moderate.
