Req ID 284425BR Industry Job Title Technical Trainer Sr Job Code/Title E4423:Technical Trainer Sr Job Description The Technical Trainer Sr. position will be responsible for executing the operational requirements of the IT-Field Service Branch(IT-FSB) and IT-Training Development Branch (IT-TDB) Training Support Program Under the Training Support Division(TSD),Communications and Electronics Command(CECOM). Specifically, the trainer will assist in the development and conduct of information technology training to units located in various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Candidate will provide instruction on the operations and maintenance of IT-FSB or IT-TDB systems, standard and non-standard software systems and equipment. Non-standard equipment includes commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment. The trainer will also provide training support for government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) equipment. This position will serve as assistant instructor and/or demonstrator, and as primary instructor as required. Trainer shall conduct both field and classroom training. When required, training shall be done at night and in inclement weather. Trainer shall attend instructor qualification training or other specialized training conducted at various CONUS locations. The instructional materials will include Regional Hub Node, Joint Network Node (JNN), Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT), Integrated Tactical Signal Battalion (ITSB), Tactical Radio transmission and Information Assurance products and applications. All with a focus on the fielding of WIN-T Increment 1 and 2 systems across the Army. In addition to the training requirements, this position will be responsible for other Support Activities and Forward Training Support. The other Support Activities include: • Evaluate training material and provide recommendations to the government on any revisions that may be required. • Perform analysis of existing training processes and instructional approaches to determine how best to standardize while also taking advantage of blended electronic learning solutions. • Develop training and documentation to support hardware and software training to include, POI s and lesson plans in order to execute training of IT-FSB in support of the U.S. Army. • Coordinate IT-FSB/TDB Team Deployment to training sites. Basic Qualifications Familiarity with/ability to train on Basic IT Networking, Advanced Cisco Routing, Voice Over IP, Cisco Call Manager, Promina Operations, Promina Maintenance, Trouble Ticketing, Cisco PIX Firewall, Netscreen Firewall, Hercules, Retina, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), Cisco Active Control Server (ACS), Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, WIN-T Inc1 systems architecture and tactical command operation based systems and training. Equivalent experience/education combinations are permitted based on the Typical Minimums required for this job which are 5 years of related experience and a BS degree in a related discipline. Desired skills Bachelor's degree (Preferred Degree is in Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or any engineering discipline) - 5 years Experience (Additional 8 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education requirements). Excellent communication skills. Experience conducting training in austere environments. Knowledge of Army and DOD Tactical Communications systems.
